Revamping the NYUSH Catering Experience

Summary of My Role

As the design lead, I led the team in conducting stakeholder interviews, developing wireframes and prototypes, and delivering a final design solution tailored to the needs of students and faculty at NYU Shanghai.

Problem Statement

The existing online catering service at NYU Shanghai faced usability challenges that frustrated students and faculty, highlighting the need for a more effective interface.

Context

During the pandemic, NYU Shanghai dining encouraged online meal orders with campus pickup to reduce overcrowding in the limited B1 cafeteria.

Interviews with key users suggest that the lack of visibility and ease of use are primary problems with the existing platform.

Placing Orders: facilitates greater clarity, flexibility, and customization of the ordering experience.

Following a presentation to 30+ students and faculty, the solution received an 85% approval rate in initial feedback surveys, indicating strong support for new design features.
